How Walker Arrests Enter Records
The Walker Police Department serves as Walker's municipal agency. Its officers write their own incident and arrest reports. A booking record is another matter. When a Walker arrest is accepted into parish custody, the Livingston Parish Detention Center opens its own booking entry. That jail is the usual shared destination. It does not take every case. Some people get a summons instead of a cell. Others are released, transferred, or held by a different authority.
Walker ranks as the second-largest incorporated place in the parish. The Census TIGERweb table counted 6,374 residents in 2020. That number explains the city's spot on the map. It says nothing about crime volume. For records, three offices matter. Walker Police documents its enforcement action. The jail logs the booking. A court later records the outcome.
Where Walker Arrests Are Published
Walker Police posts no public arrest log, daily bulletin, or jail roster. A county news tag is not a blotter. Neither is an unofficial list. When an arrest led to booking, start with the official parish custody tools. Then ask the police department for its report. Ask the Clerk or court for the result.
| Channel | Photo status | Official? | Best use |
|---|---|---|---|
| LPSO-linked roster | No photo in the table view | Yes | Current parish custody, name, birth date, and booking date |
| Livingston LA VINE | Not a promised gallery | Yes | Custody status and alerts |
| Walker Police | Ask which office holds it | Yes | Originating police report |
| Livingston Parish News archive | Historic issues may have photos | No | Older reported events |
| WBRZ parish tag | Varies | No | Event news, not a full roster |
| Commercial county indexes | May reproduce images | No | Secondary leads requiring official checks |
The LPSO roster mixes booking dates. It is no same-day Walker feed. Columns list name, date of birth, race and gender, booking date, and a View link. Read each date before trusting a first-page result, because a missing name does not disprove an arrest.
Finding Someone Arrested in Walker
Begin with a full name and date of birth. Add an approximate event date and the likely agency. Similar names trip up searches. Arrest time, booking time, and web posting time are three different clocks. A fresh case may not show up yet. No Walker or LPSO source promises a fixed posting delay.
- Search the LPSO-linked roster by name and birth date, then inspect the booking date and View link.
- Check Livingston LA VINE as a second custody signal. The state describes its parish feed as live and updated from jail data every 30 minutes, but that is not a guarantee for each intake.
- Contact Walker Police if its officers made the arrest. Ask if the event led to a citation, release, transfer, or parish booking.
- If the person was released or the row lacks detail, request the police report and the separate LPSO booking record.
- Use the Livingston Parish Clerk and proper court for formal charges and disposition.
The parish runs no separate official 24-hour feed. Booking dates still tell the story. The Arrested Today page explains how to read dates in the live roster without mislabeling it, and a released person can drop off the roster even though the booking record still exists.
Walker Booking Destination Limits
One old Livingston Parish News item described a Walker Police arrest processed and taken to Livingston Parish Detention Center, which backs the shared path for that one case. It is not a rule for every arrest. The jail sits at 28445 Charlie Watts Road in Livingston, and the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office runs it. Confirm the destination in the case at hand.
Custody status decides the right source. A just-booked person may appear after intake. Someone still held can also surface through LA VINE. A released person may need a records request. After a state sentence, the Louisiana DPS&C inmate-information route covers state custody, not each new Walker arrest. Federal and immigration custody use separate tools.
Note: A Walker location in a report does not by itself identify Walker Police as the arresting agency.
Walker Police Arrest Records
The Walker Police contact page lists 10136 Florida Boulevard, Walker, LA 70785, phone (225) 664-3125, and walkerpolice@walkerpd.org. A state directory showed a different address. The phone matched. Trust the department's own page and confirm before mailing or visiting.
No booking-photo fee or records form appears there. Send the name, event date, report number if known, a clear item description, and ask about the accepted method, current fee, redactions, and likely wait. Ask whether Walker Police or LPSO holds the photo.

Parish booking requests follow the LPSO policy: U.S. Mail to the Custodian of Records, P.O. Box 850, Livingston, LA 70754. Include your name, age, and return address. Add enough facts to find the record. LPSO reviews public status, mails an invoice after approval, and requires payment before release. No fixed photo fee or turnaround is posted.
Walker Mugshots and Custody
A booking photo gets made during intake. An incident report comes from the arresting agency. The roster table displays no photos. A View link may reveal more, though an image is not guaranteed for every record. If nothing official appears, request the photo instead of copying a face from a news or commercial page.
LA VINE serves as a custody and alert tool. It is no full historical archive. The sheriff app offers a 'Who's in Jail?' route plus public-safety updates, and its Google Play listing warns it is not for emergencies and promises no separate photo collection.
Match the official name and birth-date fields. Then check with the Clerk for the disposition, which is the case result. Juvenile records stay confidential. Sealed or expunged material should not be replaced with an unofficial cached copy.
Walker Arrest News Patterns
For a historical paper trail, Livingston Parish News is the best bet in print. Its digital archive lets you search by issue, name, or keyword. The old felony-arrest columns leaned on sheriff records. One of those reports even backs the Walker-to-parish booking example. Just remember a newspaper is not a live custody record. It may skip what a court later did.
WBRZ also covers selected Livingston Parish stories, including incidents tied to Walker addresses. That is journalism, though, not a blotter. Commercial county-level services sometimes list Walker agencies or addresses. Their entries lag and miss changes. Treat them as secondary sources. Walker Police, LPSO, LA VINE, and the Clerk come first. No Walker mugshot gallery is reproduced here.
After a Walker Arrest
After an arrest in Walker, formal charges land with the Livingston Parish Clerk's Criminal Department. That office takes them from the district attorney. It handles parish felony cases. It also takes misdemeanor and traffic matters that fall outside municipal court limits. Jurisdiction can hinge on where the incident happened and what charge was filed. So ask the Clerk or the named court directly. Do not read the roster as a final result.
Booking charges can shift, too. A charge may be refused, reduced, dismissed, or taken to trial. Bond is a release condition, not a sentence. Disposition is simply the court's outcome. A sound Walker search pairs current custody data with a later court check.
